Some library services cost a small fee.
Overdue charges
For books, magazines and talking books:
1st week overdue

23p a day (up to £1.15)
reduced rate* 8p a day (up to 40p)

2-6 weeks overdue

£1.15 a week (up to £6.90)
reduced rate* 40p a week (up to £2.40)

After 3 weeks, an overdue reminder will be sent. You'll be charged 85p if this is sent by post. But, if we have your email address, we'll send you a reminder email for free.
*Reduced rate is for children, carers, people with disabilities and people on low income."
There are no overdue charges for ebooks and e-audiobooks.

There is no charge for:
- people with a disability or reading difficulty

- Home Library Service users
- downloadable audiobooks via Borrowbox
Lost library cards
If you lose your library card, come in to the library and we'll give you a replacement card for £1.50.
